really cool range box

I am at a range a lot and I carry a bunch of gear. I saw a couple of guys with one of these and bought one from Homer on the way home. This will save me several trips in and out of the house every time.

Is this cool or what?

Looks like it could be pretty cool... I've kinda been looking for something like that...

Got any pics of it full???

What all you puttin in it???

Hows it roll once full of goodies?

Hows it roll on dirt and gravel roads?

The ranges I go to are a bit rough....

If those yellow dividers come out of the center box, it looks like it would be perfect for storing magazines...

1 for Glock 21 Mags
1 for AR-15 Mags
1 for AK-47 Mags
1 for MAC-10 Mags

I guess I could toss the Ruger 10/22 mags in one of the other boxes....

I think you'd be better off with one of those GardenWay big wheel push carts. Obviously you take tons of gear to the range when you go. How many rifle and pistol boxes go with?

What I don't see is a tube for 36" or 48" cleaning rods. Also, plastic hinges and lightweight looking alum tubing for structural support mean that monster tackle box on wheels isn't going to transport weight very reliably. Better not count on loading in the ammo all the way up to the gunwales.

Hope it works out well for you, kidding aside. I have never shot at a public range or private club where I would have had room to set that box up. I used to take all sorts of gear to the range in a Kennedy 9 drawer tool box. Never know when you might need that gunsmiths hammer and punch set! Nothing like lugging 100lbs of tools and crap you don't need to help you decide what's important.

What you really might get some use out of would be a Yamaha Rhino and a large garden trailer. Then you could load everything in the trailer from home, and not have to carry anything from the range parking lot. Maybe you already have a 3 ton 20' contractors trailer? Great! Then all you need is that $15K Rhino and trailer, you'd have the gear transport problem licked.

I know most of the above is tongue-in-cheek but I know a lot of guys obsessive enough to match and exceed any of that. But you can unpack it at my range, Riverbend Gun Club. Below is a picture of one of over 20 existing ranges there. We are in the beginning of a multi-million dollar expansion. We hired a consulting engineer range designer, Clark Vargas, known as one of the premier designers in the country. He tells me that we have one of the top 2-3 facilities in the United States.

PS: give me a small break on the box, when I took the picture, I had just bought it.
